It would be great if you'd check with yudit 2.9.0 on yudit.org. If the issue is still there in 2.9.0, we could create a patch for the author, who is actively incorporating patches. If the issue has resolved in 2.9.0, best would be to have it upgraded in debian and then sync it into ubuntu.
