Hi Steven and Ralph Janke: I made several additions to Bug 243866 -Synaptic Add CD does not work, which shows that the media in 7.10 works fine now, making use of the replacement CD and DVD's from Flipside Technologies, and that the Synaptic problem with Add CD in 8.04 may have to do with something else, other than Bad Media. Could you please take a look at it. In 8.04 as soon as insert CD - OK is pressed, then it comes up with the error E: Failed to mount CD, both when the CD / DVD is being read, and after it is mounted to the desktop. The media gets read, and you can give it a name in 7.10, but in 8.04 it will not mount it.

I would suggest contacting the supplier. ** Changed in: synaptic (Ubuntu) Assignee: Ralph Janke (txwikinger) => (unassigned) Status: Incomplete => Invalid -- Synaptic add cd does not work https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/243866 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is a direct subscriber. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
