Received a note back from upstream: hurm, some of what that script does can be done simply with configuration changes in the existing .properties files. The only thing I saw which can't is to override awt.toolkit which has to be done via an environment variable (if I read the source right). But for some of the kinds of KDE tweaks you'd want, it's best to work with the AWT team to implement it in AWT. e.g. KDE probably sets it's system wide properties differently than on GNOME and it'd be possible to detect you're in KDE rather than GNOME and query properly for that. I'm going to close this in jdk-distros as will not fix because this isn't a jdk-distros issue. The issue should be redirected to bugs.sun.com or taken to openjdk mailing lists.
Did some checking on the bugs.sun.com site and found this: http://bugs.sun.com/view_bug.do?bug_id=6536584 Appears there is some work to be done on the Java side to make this happen. -- Java 6 and KDE integration https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/99445 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
