I can, somewhat. I get this error with a lot of different URLs, but the
worst is gmail.com:

This probably reflects a bug in the program.
The error was 'BadMatch (invalid parameter attributes)'.

(Note to programmers: normally, X errors are reported asynchronously;
that is, you will receive the error a while after causing it.
To debug your program, run it with the --sync command line
option to change this behavior. You can then get a meaningful
backtrace from your debugger if you break on the gdk_x_error() function.)

This is a clean install with an old home directory. The old install was
working just fine until the hard drive died. Now nearly every other
website crashes Firefox. (Frankly, I'm surprised Launchpad didn't.)
Incidentally, gmail loaded--it only erred when the gmail-gchat applet
loaded.
