Looong Time Support seems to mean here something different as widely assumed: 7 months has passed without a single message, not even a "boo", from the person to whom this issue is assigned. We have many, many reports and suggestion from user, even two Scribus team members (mrdocs and Craig Ringer) and the Scribus packager (Oleksandr Moskalenko) confirmed the broken qt modifications in Ubuntu that cause this issue and offered their help, to no avail.
