Is there a reason why you prefer Java 5 instead of 6 (in Build-Depends)? Apart from that, /usr/lib/jvm/java-6-sun should get added to JAVA_HOME_DIRS, so it builds with sun-java-6. I will sponsor this (and can make the above mentioned adjustments myself), once the dependency has been cleared from NEW.
