Thanks for reporting this bug to help make Ubuntu better, unfortunately there's not enough information to troubleshoot it. You mention that this bug results in an Xorg crash; does this crash still occur on Hardy? If so, could you please collect a full backtrace (see http://wiki.ubuntu.com/X/Backtracing for directions).
Can you also give some more details about your wacom tablet? It almost sounds like some sort of port conflict, but with USB that shouldn't happen. You're using the binary -nvidia driver, which makes troubleshooting quite hard (they override a large chunk of Xorg functionality) and my guess is that it's some sort of conflict with that driver. Are you able to use the -nv driver? If so, can you reproduce the issue there? If you can't use the -nv driver, could you try with a newer or older -nvidia, and see if there is a version where it doesn't crash with the tablet? ** Changed in: linux-restricted-modules-2.6.24 (Ubuntu) Sourcepackagename: xorg => linux-restricted-modules-2.6.24 Status: New => Incomplete -- Strange X Crash - Can reporduce when searching a page in Firefox https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/238014 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
