Thanks for helping out, Cesare I have conky launched at startup using System > Preferences > Sessions with the command "conky". At first, it took quite some time before the issue starts. I think an hour or more. But of late, it's become instantaneous when conky is launched.
I don't know if I was doing it wrong but I tried doing "conky stop" in a terminal to no avail. It didn't quit. So I go to System > Administration > System Monitor > Processes tab and then right click-Kill Process the two or three ones named conky. That stops it. I'm new to all this, so I don't really know which info exactly to include. I'm using " NVIDIA accelerated graphics driver (latest cards)". Also, lspci tells me that I have a "VGA compatible controller: nVidia Corporation NV44A [GeForce 6200] (rev a1)" card. As I've said, it's an ASUS card on an Intel Desktop Board D850GB, with Intel Pentium 4 Processor (1.40 gHz) and 512MB RAM. ** Attachment added: "Output of lspci and sysinfo" http://launchpadlibrarian.net/15772757/lspci.txt -- Graphics render 'crash' including windows, panels, buttons, everything just disappears https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/244255 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
