I'm seeing the same problem. It's only gone to black and white twice now (in 3 months or so), and adjusting color balance under edit - preferences - display, but I'm not sure what causes it.
If you hit "reset to defaults" you get some very very wrong colors. I think it might be gstreamer and not totem thats at fault because I've seen bug reports before of gstreamer causing color problems. If it helps, I'm using a Lenovo N200, the video is 00:02.0 VGA compatible controller: Intel Corporation Mobile GM965/GL960 Integrated Graphics Controller (rev 0c) It looks like Xorg is using an "intel" driver. I launch totem generally by using "gnome-open" on the command line, and I don't see errors from gstreamer related to the video. The second time it went black and white it was on a video I've played before without issues. I closed and reopened the video after adjusting color balance and it's still in color. This is a pretty big issue for me because although I can manually adjust the colors, I don't know whats truly correct. I get it close, but it still looks like there may be something wrong. -- totem color settings changes automatically https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/216820 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
