The current version for Intrepid uses lshw. The only reason we had
Hardware Information was to keep away from the terminal. That said its
removal prompted that we now use lshw. Of course there were substantial
changes in that since the 7.10. The documentation in the current
Intrepid branch is accurate for Hardy, so instead of patching how about
using that?

Hardware Drivers is a different program all together, lets stick with
lshw. The fact is that in its current state Wireless support is poor in
general - the aim of the troubleshooting guide is to take out the
majority of steps that people will ask in the forums when users
ultimately request help there or through Launchpad's answers system.

This should be marked as "Fix Commited" because it has been for some
time in the Intrepid trunk. There is little more we can do either until
the late alpha stages because as has been confirmed in the previous
release cycle, things are removed at the eleventh hour!

@Oliver, it also needs to be noted that if Network doesn't list your
adapter that doesn't impy that NDIS is the next step, if the device is
off, as is the case with many integrated Broadcom cards that remain
switched off if disabled in Windows, enabling NDIS would not rectify the
issue.
