I have just tried Ubuntu (8.04 amd64) for the first time, after having used stock Debian Etch for some years. I hit this problem almost straight away.
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-MA69GM-S2H Same basic dmesg output as reported for others so not posting yet again Dual booting on the same PC, I don't get the problem in Debian 4.0r3. Presumably its as much the different kernel version as anything.
