Your possible solutions are incorrect, the system has come back up after 10 attempts. I am using a desktop with a RADION video card. The same problem has happened to someone else, and it has been confirmed that the system is doing this at random. This is what happened; the user ID text and password come up then the desktop is displayed briefly and goes back again to prompt for the user ID and password.
