Same a Steven Ellis (Thanks!) Just wanted to mention for other ubuntu noobs like me that the line should read: "Had to dpkg -r libc6-i686 and then dpkg --configure -a" (note the 6). It cost me an hour, but I sure learned a lot about packages :)
