Public bug reported: In Ubuntu Hardy Heron AMD64, the trash bin icon shows that the trash bin is empty, although the trash bin is full. Also the trash cannot be emptied.
There is a workaround: open the Gnome terminal, go to "/home/<username>/.local/share/Trash/files". Type: "sudo rm -Rf *" and press ENTER. This will delete ALL files AND folders AT ONCE. Then go to "/home/<username>/.local/share/Trash/info" and just delete the files in there. This does not require any special action. ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Ubuntu Hardy Heron 8.04 AMD64-> trash bin looks empty, is full, cannot be emptied. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/243228 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
