i am experiencing the same problem. using nautilus to browse files on
remote computer via sftp, i then dbl click on openoffice files and a
dialog pop up asking for password, with my username already there. after
entering it, the same dialog opens up again, this time without my
username (no field to key username either), asking for password again.
key in password, then same thing happens. after a few tries, i get the
msg "general internet error has occurred".

this password dialog works when browing openoffice files using nautilus
via samba, but not sftp.

could it be because i dont use port 22 for ssh? i switched ssh to use
another port on both remote and client computers. is there a way to
change the port that OO use for sftp?
