I had this problem in Hardy, if it's somehow been marked as something
that doesn't need to be fixed the person doing the classifying is a
fool.

Gutsy -> Hardy users see this as a regression (at least I did, my on
board nvidia MCP55 worked fine in Gutsy) - a reformat and lots of
fiddling around later and I finally find this page so that I can start
using Ubuntu as I used to.

- Inconveniences existing users, possibly discouraging them back to Windows/Mac
- Inconveniences new users - completely putting them off Ubuntu and possibly
linux

The fix is not obvious. Forcedeth need to get their act into gear,
someone needs to poke them. This is a serious, serious problem - look at
the amount of mobos with nvidia chipsets!
