Public bug reported: TO REPRODUCE:
Install wine version 1.0.0-1ubuntu2~hardy1 $ winecfg [- this initializes wine and populates ~/.wine] $ cd ~/.wine/drive_c/Program Files/Internet Explorer $ wine iexplore.exe A window pops up titled "Wine Internet Explorer" and tells me it needs to install the Gecko engine. I say ok and it downloads it and installs it. EXPECTED RESULT: Wine Internet Explorer displays all the buttons that ie6 normally displays and allows me to browse the internet ACTUAL RESULT: The Wine Internet Explorer window is black, not showing any buttons or any way to browse.
