I would like to confirm that this happens on Ubuntu 8.04 with all the
latest updates installed

My Firefox version is

Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.9) Gecko/2008061015
Firefox/3.0

It happens exactly the the way JHF2442 describes it. Everything works
fine (you can click the "home" button, choose bookmarks, it all works)
but you cannot enter a new address and press enter. It's like firefox is
just completely ignoring the fact that you pressed Enter.

It's difficult to recreate this error - it happens randomly and doesn't
seem to be "time related". Sometimes it happens after firefox has been
running for days, but this morning firefox ran for less than an hour
before it started.

I only have flashblock, delicious and the ubuntu add-ons installed.

PS: I don't know if you get memory dumps or other debug information with
this post - but my firefox is in that "enter doesn't work" mode this
very second.
