Public bug reported:

I have been running xubuntu intrepid for a few weeks now with the
nightly builds of firefox 3. Everything seemed perfect until I went
away for a week. When I came back, I updated all the packages and
firefox. Ever since then, firefox 3 has been extremely slow, taking
over 5 minutes to just open. The cpu is not being used and there is no
disk activity during this time and nothing else major is running. I
have tried releases of firefox 3 from before I noticed this problem and
they still are just as slow, however, firefox 2 opens and runs normally.
I dont have any idea as to what it could be and have not noticed this
problem with any other application, nor have I found any seemingly
related issues with my machine. Has anyone else noticed this or does
anyone have an idea as to what it would be?
