Dear Adarabito, yes, your system should be more than powerful enough to run Ubuntu. Some questions: 1) Which Ubuntu version do you have installed? 2) The behaviour you're describing is very strange (memory hogging, crashing of applications, muting of sound)... Can you try to find a pattern in this and help us understand? Is it related to your running a specific application, or is the system unstable also when running no programs after login? Do your programs crash, or just disappear from the screen? Have you had this problems since installation, or did they appear at some later date? Is your CPU usage always maxed, or is it at normal levels?
