The {sharing,browsing}_status scripts were dropped from the cupsys package since you can do the same with the graphical frontends. Gnome-cups-manager should be modified to use the cupsctl command as described here: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/kdebase/+bug/212076/comments/1. Please also note that gnome-cups-manager is no longer maintained upstream and has been replaced since Ubuntu Gutsy by system-config-printer.
cupsys (1.3.6-1) unstable; urgency=low * Drop enable{sharing, browsing} and {sharing,browsing}_status scripts. They have never been used in Debian, not used any more in Ubuntu, and the current frontends (web, system-config-printer, etc.) do this in a much better way. -- Martin Pitt <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Tue, 26 Feb 2008 14:23:50 +0100 ** Changed in: cupsys (Ubuntu) Assignee: (unassigned) => Pascal De Vuyst (pascal-devuyst) Status: New => Won't Fix ** Also affects: gnome-cups-manager (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Changed in: gnome-cups-manager (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided => Low Status: New => Confirmed -- sharing__status missing https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/204500 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
