Public bug reported: At least, in Dapper and Edgy, with my ATI X300 PCIe, it's impossible to obtain 3D acceleration.
If I execute glxinfo or glxgears (for example), console say: [EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ glxinfo name of display: :0.0 Xlib: extension "XFree86-DRI" missing on display ":0.0". display: :0 screen: 0 direct rendering: No server glx vendor string: SGI (blah, blah) My xorg.conf can be viewed: http://rafb.net/paste/results/vWJpKV75.nln.html Please, fix the problems with ATI, fix you, or talk with ATI for fix it!
