Public bug reported: Hello,
3D Applications are very slow with my integrated graphics card i965GM, native OpenGL and DirectX ( using Wine ) games included . "glxinfo|grep Mesa" gives me : >$ glxinfo | grep Mesa >OpenGL renderer string: Mesa DRI Intel(R) 965GM 4.1.3002 x86/MMX/SSE2 >OpenGL version string: 1.5 Mesa 7.0.3-rc2 I know that integrated graphics cards are not designed for the 3D games, but it's really annoying that all 3D apps run faster on Windows ... Using oprofile, I've found that i965_dri.so uses about 10% of CPU, I don't know if that is normal or not . According to Intel, there will be some new drivers which will use the EXA interface, and I want to know if Ubuntu will upgrade his packages as soon as possible . ** Affects: mesa (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- 3D with Intel 965GM + Mesa 7.0.3-rc2 is very slow :-/ https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/239518 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
