after latest series of updates, this bug is still in existence on my machine. Sound works for the first five minutes or so after a fresh boot, once the sound stops ( no error messages, no indication of a crash, sound just stops) it can be restarted in System Settings for a few times but ultimately the arts package no longer outputs.
