Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gnome-session
This only occurs since the new kernel upgrade to 2.6.24-18-generic. But booting the kernel 2.6.24-16-generic shows now the same result. [EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ uname -r 2.6.24-18-generic "[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ gnome-session-properties (gnome-session-properties:9805): GnomeUI-WARNING **: While connecting to session manager: Authentication Rejected, reason : None of the authentication protocols specified are supported and host-based authentication failed. Sitzungsmanager konnte nicht kontaktiert werden." If I click System > Preferences > Sessions, there will not open the Sessions Preferences dialog windows as it did before. gnome-session 2.22.1.1-0ubuntu2. When I try to run Kexi, I obtain the error message: "Issue when establishing the communication between KDE processes. The message was: Could not read network connection list. /home/detlef/.DCOPserver_MD9760__0. -- Make sure that the program 'dcopserver' is running." The file /home/detlef/.DCOPserver_MD9760__0 does not exist. I can ignore this warning but then Kexi will not write any data to the database. (Before my kernel upgrade Kexi worked fine.) ** Affects: gnome-session (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- [Hardy] (gnome-session-properties): GnomeUI-WARNING: While connecting to session manager Authentication Rejected. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/237872 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
