stop ffox, backup your .mozilla directory, then remove the XUL.mfasl
files from it. further remove the compreg.dat and all _files_
named "extensions.*" from your profile.
if it still doesnt go away, please get an strace and attach it to this
bug:
strace -f -eopen &> /tmp/ffox.strace.txt
