Another workaround that seems to calm it down is to write your email, send it, and then click the "Work Offline" button in the lower left hand corner. Then click it again to Work Online, and your CPU usage should be back to normal. Obviously this will be untenable if you keep an email open all day long..
Anyway, I tried to install the evolution-dbgsym package. However, I got the following message: [EMAIL PROTECTED] ~]$ apt-get install evolution-dbgsym Reading package lists... Done Building dependency tree Reading state information... Done Some packages could not be installed. This may mean that you have requested an impossible situation or if you are using the unstable distribution that some required packages have not yet been created or been moved out of Incoming. Since you only requested a single operation it is extremely likely that the package is simply not installable and a bug report against that package should be filed. The following information may help to resolve the situation: The following packages have unmet dependencies: evolution-dbgsym: Depends: evolution (= 2.22.2-0ubuntu1) but 2.22.1.1-0ubuntu3 is to be installed E: Broken packages -- gnome-keyring-daemon and Evolution cause 100% CPU usage https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/236171 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
