I have Intel 20'inch iMac with build-in iSight webcam, running Ubuntu 8.04 with all updates and default boot (kernel) params. Webcam work fine only firts minute, and then the picture freezes. If i use cheese at this moment, it`is fail with this message: *** glibc detected *** cheese: munmap_chunk(): invalid pointer: 0x08099af8 *** In Skype i can turn video off and on. And it`s work next minute. Camorama app can`t found video device, so not work at all. In MacOSX alls work fine, but I want use Ubuntu as primary OS :) In dmesg output at fail moment I see: [ 108.885868] uvcvideo: Failed to resubmit video URB (-45). [ 108.885980] uvcvideo: Failed to resubmit video URB (-45). [ 108.886079] uvcvideo: Failed to resubmit video URB (-45). [ 108.886135] uvcvideo: Failed to resubmit video URB (-45). lsusb otput for my iSight: Bus 007 Device 003: ID 05ac:8502 Apple Computer, Inc. While webcam work I see in dmesg output also 4 or more messages like "uvcvideo: unknown event type N" (N - various numbers) at one second.
