Yes, bug is still around. When I go to the 'network' location in gnome, I see the 'Windows Network'. When I browse the network, workgroups sometimes appear as a blank icon and I can't access them. Same for computers inside workgroups. When pressing 'reload', network locations switch randomly between a blank icon and the correct icon. See:

I have not accessed the 'shared folders' applet yet, nor have I edited my samba configuration.
