Yeap... as i thought, no errors when using the Sun plugin. The complaining line on the file i reported earlier is 413.
I dunno exactly how this works between JS and the Applet, but maybe the OpenJDK plugin isn't exporting some functions it should... Without this function being executed probably my password is being sent as an empty string, and the server simple ignores it.
