Quite the same thing for me on my laptop : Lenovo 3000 C200 8922AZG [ 0.000000] ACPI: BIOS bug: multiple APIC/MADT found, using 0 [ 0.000000] ACPI: If "acpi_apic_instance=2" works better, notify [EMAIL PROTECTED]
I'm using : ~$ uname -a Linux NEANT 2.6.22-14-generic #1 SMP Tue Feb 12 07:42:25 UTC 2008 i686 GNU/Linux I have included the DSDT.aml in the initrd following the HOWTO : https://help.ubuntu.com/community/ACPIBattery The dsdt compilation shows no error and no warning. I have just dpkg-reconfigure the kernel, including the DSDT.aml file in the directory : /etc/initramfs-tools/. I always get the same lines in dmesg... I'll try to verify how it was under Feisty, but I didn't have any problem with power management with the previous kernel (2.6.20 if I remember) So since there is no bug in the dsdt compilation, couln't it be a kernel bug? ** Attachment added: "dmesg without dsdt loaded" http://launchpadlibrarian.net/14794485/dmesg_default.log -- ACPI: BIOS bug: multiple APIC/MADT https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/119583 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
