I agree with Johannes Langlotz. In going from Dapper to Hardy (6.06 to 8.04) the new wallpaper suffered. The new wallpaper is busier, more distracting, and less esthetically pleasing and less elegant than the earlier version in 6.06. The solution would be simple if someone could tell us where we can download the original Dapper wallpaper. Also, I thought the Dapper boot up and login screens were better as well - warmer tones. The sound effects were better as well - just the right tone, earthy but not overstated. I would love to have the option to return to the easthetics (sights and sounds) of Dapper while keeping the power of Hardy.
