Public bug reported: I have several bugs for some reason. For one, when I open Add/remove, I select all the things I want to install and press "apply" but what happens is my cursor turns into ubuntu's time glass and begins to load. And load. And load. And it won't even have the installed stuff! Also I can't open Synaptic and Software sources. When I select one of them, it begins to launch, then closes all of a sudden. Not a window appears or nothin'! The only thing that happens is on the bottom panel it says "Starting Administration", stays on for about 5 seconds and then closes. It doesn't make any sense. I'm new to Ubuntu and I would really appreciate the fix and help.
P.S. I'm using Ubuntu 8.04 Hardy Heron. Thanks for the help.
