Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: network-manager

During upgrade to 8.04 LTS, I got something like:
Errors were encountered while processing:
   network-manager
   network-manager-gnome

That's all. The PC was frozen after this.
After switching off and rebooting, the PC runs
normally again, it seems. Should I worry about
these messages? Anything I can do to see if
everything really works?

Thanks
