Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gedit
Make gedit (the primary text editor in Ubuntu) be able to open any type of file. When I try to open a binary file or a .png file or something, it whines and says; * "gedit has not been able to detect the character coding. Please check that you are not trying to open a binary file." Well, I would like to be able to open a binary file. ** Affects: gedit (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Make gedit be able to open any files https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/234419 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
