You mentioned you can see other access points with this network card right? Is there a possibility that the access point is setup a little differently... If your able to see other access points that gives me a pretty good idea that the card is working right, and it might be an issue with that access point either not announcing the SSID or setup with an encryption method that the network card doesn't support...
