It just started working for me. Like literally, *just*.
I opened pidgin, and disabled every other account except my MSN one (which 
failed to connect, not surprisingly) to make looking at the log file easier

I then ran pidgin with --debug and captured the log to a file. To my
surprise, it connected. Now, pidgin works normally even without debug
and other accounts.

Is it like this for everyone, or am I just lucky?
