Sadly I have had to reinstall 7.10 in order to use my laptop, the problems I was experiencing made it an unpleasant experience. Just to note, I used the same cd-rom to install Hardy onto my other laptop, a 3 year old Toshiba Equium EA60-199 and everything went to plan. Compiz does not work but that is not an issue as everything seems to be working fine.
What usually happens now? Do I need to skip over 8.04 and hope the problem is fixed for 8.10?
