OOOPS !!!
I am sorry ! ;-)
YES, sda2 was mounted you are right... but it was mounted BY ACCIDENT, when I
clicked on it in Nautilus a few days ago (I had forgotten about it, oops),
because I was trying to find another partition, and since they now all have
useless names (XX Media), I had to click on all of them one by one, until I
found what I was looking for...

Today the computer somehow crashed ( :-/ ) and rebooted itself, so sda2
is not mounted anymore then, as expected, and this strange /media/disk
directory I was wondering about, has now disappeared. I assume it was
Nautilus that created this mount point when I mounted sda2 by accident.

I removed the old log from gvfs-mount, and attached a new one then, hope
that helps.

Here is the new output from mount, showing that sda2 is indeed not
mounted:

$ mount
/dev/sda7 on / type ext3 (rw,relatime,errors=remount-ro)
proc on /proc type proc (rw,noexec, nosuid, nodev)
/sys on /sys type sysfs (rw,noexec,nosuid,nodev)
varrun on /var/run type tmpfs (rw,noexec,nosuid,nodev,mode=0755)
varlock on /var/lock type tmpfs (rw,noexec,nosuid,nodev,mode=1777)
udev on /dev type tmpfs (rw,mode=0755)
devshm on /dev/shm type tmpfs (rw)
devpts on /dev/pts type devpts (rw,gid=5,mode=620)
lrm on /lib/modules/2.6.24-16-generic/volatile type tmpfs (rw)
/dev/sda8 on /home type ext3 (rw,relatime)
/dev/sdb1 on /media/backup type ext3 (rw,relatime)
/dev/sda6 on /media/dev_home type ext3 (rw,relatime)
/dev/sda5 on /media/dev_root type ext3 (rw,relatime)
/dev/sda1 on /media/windows type vfat (rw,utf8,umask=007,gid=46)
securityfs on /sys/kernel/security type securityfs (rw)
binfmt_misc on /proc/sys/fs/binfmt_misc type binfmt_misc
(rw,noexec,nosuid,nodev)
gvfs-fuse-daemon on /home/vincent/.gvfs type fuse.gvfs-fuse-daemon
(rw,nosuid,nodev,user=vincent)

If I click on sda2 in Nautilus, I am asked for my password in order to
mount it.. meaning that indeed it's not mounted.

Sorry again for the confusion I caused then sda2 is not mounted, it's
not mounted, int's not mounted, sorry sorry sorry...
