Yes....the Broadcom wireless cards are a big problem for Linux.

I have to ship my notebook off to HP to get the card replaced.

My card was fried.

I knew something was wrongs after installing the restricted drivers
because I could smell the 'Oh so familiar "electric train set" ozone
scent. Once that smell comes out of any PC you know immediately that
something just got 'Toasted.

I'm skeptical of any LINUX OS now.
