I am receiving this e-mail quite some time since I first reported the problem. Since, I've upgraded to a newer release of Ubuntu. I no longer have problems mounting and reading disks from the Zip drive (but I have experienced some difficulty ejecting the disk once it's dismounted). The drive is internal, and works perfectly under OS-9 on the same computer.
