Binary package hint: acpi-support

Events "video.* 00000086" and "video.* 00000087" must not call
"acpi_fakekey $KEY_BRIGHTNESSUP" and "acpi_fakekey $KEY_BRIGHTNESSDOWN"
respectively, for Dell Inspiron 9400 (and probably various other Dell
laptops), since it generates 2 ButtonPressed events.

This is for a single keypress (notice two
platform_i8042_i8042_KBD_port_logicaldev_input events, which happen only
once when the acpi_fakekey call is commented in
/etc/acpi/video_brightnessup.sh):
