I cannot tell you the number of the version I was using in Gutsy. It was the latest from the repository, and I upgraded to Hardy about three weeks ago.
I just tried to use kernel 2.6.22-14-generic. I tried without reinstalling the nvidia proprietary drivers, with the nv module. The audio was clean, with some skipped frames, probably because no hardware acceleration was available. I will try with the nvidia drivers and keep you posted. I also tried earlier with a custom 2.6.24 kernel build from the options of the ubuntu rt kernel, with CFS disabled and the right processor type selected, but had no better luck. -- Bad sound with onboard sound controller snd_hda_intel since upgrade to Hardy https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/229257 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
