Geesh - annoying like anything! My Olympus FE-150 (07b4:0109 Olympus Optical Co., Ltd C-370Z/D-535Z/X-450) stopped working for me as well *again* (used to not work, used to work, doesn't work) - just plain annoying such crap. :-) Anyway - i found a workaround at least now - here: http://www.nabble.com/-Bug-37307--digikam,-NEW:-Unable-to-mount- usb-mass-storage-cameras-p15229132.html - so if you don't really need that libgphoto (which i don't - what shoud that s...r be good for anyway) - just get rid of it! (I had to remove some kde candy depending on it along with it, but i don't care... just want my pix) I did a
# dpkg -P libgphoto2-port0 libgphoto2-2 libsane kamera gthumb xsane libkscan1 sane-utils kamera kdegraphics kooka on my debian testing / ubuntu hardy mixed sys. Et voila - works again. No more falling asleep "waiting for device to settle before scanning"... Just tell me why / how libgphoto is interfering there... anybody?
