ma2412ma: "Suppose gvfs is working, wouldn't it be a good idea to make this more obvious to the users and not hide it somewhere as a hidden folder?"
I have asked the same question in multiple places without answer. To further the question, why isn't gvfs-fuse installed by default? When a user mounts a share, they expect it to be accessible by ALL their applications, not just the core Gnome ones. I know that gvfs is a userspace filesystem, so why not mount it somewhere obvious in the user's home folder. Something like this maybe: "/home/user/Volumes". How is a new user supposed to know to install gvfs-fuse, then look in a hidden folder by the name of .gvfs? -- gvfs fuse mount is not functional after logout and subsequent login https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/212789 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
