Duh... it's late, sorry folks. I'm done. Obviously the patch is valid since the interface actually *did* change. And, I'm running 2.3 now, against a build of the libqof from Debian Sid, and everything is working just fine. I bet that the original crash I had would not have happened if that old library was not present though... GOOD NIGHT.
