I experience the same as MRMadhav, only on an Inspiron 1420 (not n). If I use Google Earth, after a time the screen just goes black (light is on, though), and all I can do is to turn off the machine.
I tried to put the Option "DRI" "false" line to xorg.conf, but when after that I started Google Earth, the X server rebooted right away, bringing me back to the KDM login screen.
