Public bug reported: Binary package hint: update-manager
I tried to update from 7.10 to the new distribution (hardy beta) but got the following error message: Failed to fetch http://security.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/dists/hardy-security/Release Unable to find expected entry web/binary-i386/Packages in Meta-index file (malformed Release file?) Failed to fetch http://gb.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/dists/hardy/Release Unable to find expected entry web/binary-i386/Packages in Meta-index file (malformed Release file?) Failed to fetch http://gb.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/dists/hardy-updates/Release Unable to find expected entry web/binary-i386/Packages in Meta-index file (malformed Release file?) Failed to fetch http://gb.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/dists/hardy-backports/Release Unable to find expected entry web/binary-i386/Packages in Meta-index file (malformed Release file?) Maybe this is due to the fact that I originally downloaded kubuntu in GB (the German version though) and am now in Germany, but it didn't work from GB either. ** Affects: update-manager (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- update dapper to hardy fails cos archives not found https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/228264 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
