Public bug reported:

While upgrading form 7.10 to 8.04 I got this error form "do-release-
upgrade":

Processing triggers for libc6 ...
ldconfig deferred processing now taking place
Errors were encountered while processing:
 initramfs-tools

Could not install the upgrades

The upgrade aborts now. Your system could be in an unusable state. A
recovery will run now (dpkg --configure -a).

Please report this bug against the 'update-manager' package and
include the files in /var/log/dist-upgrade/ in the bugreport.
installArchives() failed

dpkg: dependency problems prevent configuration of initramfs-tools:
 initramfs-tools depends on udev (>= 117-5); however:
  Version of udev on system is 113-0ubuntu17.
dpkg: error processing initramfs-tools (--configure):
 dependency problems - leaving unconfigured
Errors were encountered while processing:
 initramfs-tools

After "aptitude install udev" I was able to rerun "do-release-upgrade"
and it finishes successfully.

** Affects: update-manager-core (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
