Public bug reported:

Ubuntu Version: 8.04
Package Version: linux-restricted-modules 2.6.24.16.18

- The original AVM fcusb2 driver will not compile

- I tried building the srpm from Mandriva. The module compiles and
loads, but it's still defective. Symptoms: no b channels, no
manufacturer name, no supported B1/B2/B3 protocols listed when calling
capiinfo.

I've inspected the source code a bit and could get the module to
compile, load and work properly. My diff on the driver directory of the
original fritz driver is attached. I hope it can help others. I
certainly spent a lot of time on this one.

The only remaining problem now is that the kernel Oopses when unloading
the module.

Please also see this as a vote for integration fcusb2 into linux-
restricted-modules.
